About Us

Our party of 8 met here for dinner on a weeknight, and everything about the meal was enjoyable. The server was friendly and knowledgeable and knew the menu well, the lighting was low and warm, and the food was quite delicious. The wine list is pricey but has a very good selection, and you need a nice red for that tasty steak or prime rib. A good place for a special meal. Reservations are recommended.

Our Experiences

Stonewalls Restaurant serves Prime Rib, Seafood, Gourmet Steaks, Fine Wines and Fine Olive Oils & Balsamics.  Although we are located in Banner Elk, North Carolina, we serve locals who come from Blowing Rock, Boone, Newland, and Linville, North Carolina.  Stonewalls Restaurant is located in downtown Banner Elk, North Carolina located in the heart of The High Country in western North Carolina.

Stonewalls has been locally owned and operated since 1985 and we pride ourselves on our exceptional service and value. Stonewalls offers the finest cuts of beef found in prime rib, sirloin, rib eye, New York Strip and Filet Mignon.  Our chicken & ribs are second to none and we have a great lineup of seafood.  Our chefs have been performing for years, and our buyer selects the best cuts available.  Our salad bar is a destination for locals and for tourists.

Hear What Are Customers Say About Stonewalls…

This was a last minute decision on a Tuesday night. It was snowing hard, and being from out of town we needed something to fill our bellies. We started with the fried deviled eggs, which were terrific (enough to share) and then both had the prime rib – medium rare – with creamed spinach and baked potato. Because it was snowing so hard, we opted to take our bread pudding dessert to go. The waitress, Heather, was amazing! Because the snow was coming down hard, we opted to take the bread pudding to go. I’m sure it would have been excellent had we eaten it in the restaurant. We would definitely recommend!

My husband and I have been going to Stonewalls in Banner Elk, NC going on 30 years. We don’t get up the mountain that much but when we’re there it is a special occasion, there is no other place we want to go. The quality of the food and ambience are the best of the best. But last night we met server, Jade. She is phenomenal . She made everything great about this place even more great. So check out Stonewalls and ask for Jade. You will not be disappointed.
