Our Restaurant
Part of what makes Stonewalls stand out is its story and stewardship. The restaurant has been a Banner Elk staple since 1985, originally opened by John and Ann Carriere and later purchased by Scott Garland and Tim Heschke, who refreshed the space and expanded the menu while keeping the classics that guests expect.
Stonewalls is known for a chef-driven approach that blends “new” dishes with long-standing favorites—anchored by a prime rib house specialty and a lineup of steaks and seafood that keeps people coming back. You’ll see popular steakhouse staples like ribeye, New York strip, and filet-style offerings featured prominently, plus plenty of seafood options—making it a go-to for both celebratory dinners and “we’re in town, we have to eat there” nights.
